My company is currently looking at Server Virtualization in an effort to cut the costs of the business. At present, my manager has told me, we are nowhere near as efficient as we should be and if we look at Server Virtualization we could dramatically reduce the amount of energy we spend as well as the money we are losing as a business. I must say when he first started talking about Server Virtualization I was skeptical as I saw it as a quick fix that might not necessarily be the best thing for our business. However, I now believe it will significantly reduce costs and I feel it is crucial that our company takes it on board. Needless to say, we have had a very difficult couple of years as everyone you speak to in the private sector has, and we are all eager to look at anything that could ultimately make the business more profitable. I and my managers believe that this initiative will work for us. I sincerely hope it does so that I can go back to receiving the monthly bonuses I used to get before the credit crunch.
